Why Back2Village

Why Back2Village Matters

Urban families are losing connection with soil, food, farming and rural culture. Villages have beauty, skills and hospitality — but many rural families lack market access. Back2Village connects both sides through a trusted digital platform.

Reconnect Families With Real Bangladesh

Bring children and parents back to soil, rivers, food, animals and authentic village hospitality — beyond screens.

Create Income for Rural Hosts

Village families earn dignified income from homestays, food, farming, craft and local guiding.

Preserve Culture, Food and Local Skills

Protect heritage food, music, weaving, farming knowledge and language for the next generation.

Founder's Note
"After travelling across more than 30 countries and working with international business communities for over two decades, I realised one thing: Bangladesh's village life is not poor in value. It is poor in access. Back2Village is my effort to connect that value with families, students, diaspora Bangladeshis, institutions and the world — respectfully and safely."

Back2Village is a national rural experience and village economy platform connecting urban families, institutions, international visitors and the diaspora with verified village homes, hosts, food, farming, rivers, crafts and authentic rural life across Bangladesh.

Yes. Every host and experience is verified by our field team. We check hygiene, safety, accommodation quality and host readiness. Each visit includes a local coordinator, family-friendly itinerary design, and 24/7 contact support.

Absolutely. Village families with spare space, hospitality and community standing can apply to become hosts. Selected families receive training, ongoing mentorship and direct earnings from every booking — with full dignity.

No. Back2Village is built for travellers, urban families, school groups, corporates, the Bangladeshi diaspora, researchers and partners. Each audience has tailored experiences.

Yes. We design bespoke field trips, learning programmes and corporate retreats for groups of 10 to 80, with transport coordination, safety briefings and learning materials.

Our field team visits each host in person, assesses the home, kitchen, sanitation and surroundings, and trains the family in basic hospitality and guest safety. Only verified hosts go live on the platform.

Yes. We help diaspora families plan safe, meaningful root visits — including ancestral area visits, language and food experiences, and family memory documentation.

We begin with selected pilot villages and districts, then expand nationally as more hosts are verified and trained. Contact us to suggest a village or partner district.
